We love Portland and are committed to playing an active role in the community. Here’s a little info on some of the organizations Surface supports. Maybe you’ll be inspired to get involved, too.
The ReStore raises funds to help Habitat for Humanity build affordable homes in the Portland area. We’re excited to support the ReStore in their mission to support remodel and creative projects, while keeping usable materials out of the landfill. Find out more at www.pdxrestore.org.
The Dougy Center provides counseling and assistance for those mourning the loss of a loved one, in particular children coping with the death of a family member. Since its founding, the center has served over 20,000 children, teens, and their families and has received national and international acclaim for its pioneering support model. Since its inception, Surface was proud to be a major sponsor of Street of Eames, a popular tour of remodeled homes in Portland. Street of Eames was founded to support Chapman Elementary Foundation’s Project Return, an after-school program for homeless and lower-income students. The Street of Eames and Chapman Elementary were especially dear to our founder, David Andrew, and we have honored his memory with our ongoing support.
