We love Portland and we’re committed to playing an active role in the community. Here’s a little info on two of the organizations Surface supports. Maybe you’ll be inspired to get involved, too.
Street of Eames
The Street of Eames tour of modern homes has become a huge annual hit, and we’re proud to say we were the first major sponsor of the event. Proceeds go to the Chapman Educational Foundation’s Project Return, an after-school program for homeless and lower-income students at downtown Portland’s Chapman Elementary School. The Street of Eames and Chapman Elementary were especially dear to our founder, David Andrew, and we honor his memory with our ongoing support of this charitable event. The Dougy Center
The Dougy Center provides counseling and assistance for those mourning the loss of a loved one, in particular children coping with the death of a family member. Since its founding, the center has served over 20,000 children, teens and their families and has received national and international acclaim for its pioneering support model.
